[Today's New Arrival] 'Instant Smoothie' from Japan Arrives at Seven Eleven
Internal Testing Conducted for Over a Year Since December 2024
Three Varieties Offered, Including Strawberry Banana Smoothie
Aiming to Become a Game Changer in the Summer Convenience Store Market
Seven Eleven announced on March 12 that it will introduce instant smoothies, which are popular in Japan.
The smoothies gained significant attention from Korean consumers after entertainer Choo Sung-hoon introduced them on his personal broadcast last year. Since December 2024, Seven Eleven has been importing Japanese Seven Eleven smoothie machines and has been localizing the smoothie products for the Korean market, while also conducting internal operational tests. After over a year of preparation, the company began deploying the Japanese smoothie machines nationwide in phases starting the previous day.

Reflecting the growing trend of health-conscious consumers, all products are formulated to be low-calorie, with fewer than 100 kcal per serving. The company explained that, based on the Japanese example, it has developed customized products for the Korean market through the establishment of dedicated domestic infrastructure.
Seven Eleven is building the concept of a 'Food Station,' which brings together instant foods to enhance cohesion and improve operational and management efficiency, as a core part of its next-generation franchise model, 'New Wave.' The Food Station is designed with a food court-style counter so that customers can easily view and purchase signature instant foods such as Seven Cafe, chicken, instant pizza, and roasted sweet potatoes all in one place.
