Dong-Eui Institute of Technology Nursing Department Awards Self-Development Scholarship to Support Student Competency Enhancement

Five Years of Assistance for Student Self-Development Activities
The Department of Nursing at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology (President Kim Youngdo) announced on March 11 that it has awarded a "Self-Development Scholarship" to support students' growth and enhance their future capabilities.
This scholarship, supported by the Community Chest of Korea, provides 100,000 won per month to two students for one year and will continue to be offered for the next five years.
Eligible recipients are first- and second-year students in the Department of Nursing who have submitted a self-development plan. Final selection is made through a faculty review. The selected students are required to set specific goals and action plans for their self-development, such as improving language proficiency, obtaining certifications, or engaging in activities to strengthen their academic competencies, and put these plans into practice using the scholarship funds.
The purpose of the scholarship goes beyond simple tuition support; it aims to help students independently plan their futures and grow into responsible and professional nursing talents after graduation.
Minkyung Bin, a third-year student in the Department of Nursing who received the scholarship, stated, "I am now able to fully start preparing for language studies and certification exams that I had postponed due to financial burdens, and I can also purchase books related to my major to focus more on my studies. I want to prepare more diligently, grow into a nurse who contributes to society, and one day be able to share the same opportunities with my juniors."

Park Jiweon, Head of the Department of Nursing at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology, said, "We will continue to provide ongoing support so that students can discover their potential and develop their capabilities. We also hope that more scholarship donations will be made to provide students with a variety of growth opportunities."
