Global home robotics company Dreame is accelerating its strategic shift from competing on hardware performance to building an artificial intelligence (AI)-based "smart home ecosystem."
Evolving from Single Devices to 'AI Computing Devices'
According to the electronics industry on March 10, the robot vacuum cleaner market, which previously focused on basic features like suction power and battery capacity, is now evolving into the realm of "AI computing devices" that analyze indoor environments and process data using cameras and sensors. As a result, the industry now views the ability to precisely process collected data and connect it to user experiences, beyond the functions of a single product, as the core battleground for the future market. This trend of "data intelligence" is expanding the competition from individual device performance to integrated solutions that encompass the entire home appliance ecosystem.
At the world's largest home appliance and information technology (IT) exhibition, CES 2026, Dreame presented the construction of a smart home ecosystem—beyond competition between individual devices—as its core strategy. The company aims to connect devices such as robot vacuum cleaners, air purifiers, washing machines, and kitchen appliances on a single AI platform, enabling seamless interconnectivity among them.
Korean Data Migrated Domestically... Reinforcing 'Security Trust'
Dreame has also taken proactive measures regarding "security," a critical factor for platform competitiveness. The company recently migrated Korean user data, previously stored in Singapore, to a domestic data center, establishing a locally based data management system.
This is considered a leading example of a Chinese manufacturer voluntarily meeting domestic regulations and security requirements. Data stored on domestic servers is not transmitted or backed up overseas, and access by foreign subsidiaries or third parties is blocked, so data is processed and stored solely within the local environment. By enhancing transparency and trust in data management, Dreame plans to expand its positioning from a "technology-based premium brand" to a "security-integrated smart home brand."
Launch of the 'X60 Series' with Both Security and Technology
Dreame's strategy has been embodied in the flagship "X60" series (X60 Ultra, X60 Master), which launched domestically on March 9. This new lineup is the company's first flagship series to be released under an enhanced security environment, featuring a fully AI-powered autonomous cleaning system.
The X60 series automates the entire cleaning process—from dirt detection to cleaning—using AI blue light optical scanning, advanced obstacle recognition technology, and high-performance mopping functions. In particular, the high-performance cleaning system combines a 230 RPM dual rotating mop and 15N downward pressure, operating based on precise data computation.
