Hansung CleanTech Wins 8 Billion Won Samsung Semiconductor Water Treatment Project... "Continued Revenue Growth Expected Amid AI and HBM Boom"
Hansung CleanTech, a company specializing in industrial water treatment and ultrapure water EPC, announced on March 9 that the new orders and previously signed water treatment facility projects related to the Samsung Pyeongtaek semiconductor plant are being carried out in phases. The company explained that as global semiconductor companies are expanding facility investments, particularly in AI semiconductors and high-bandwidth memory (HBM), the demand for semiconductor process infrastructure continues to grow.
According to the company, Hansung CleanTech is carrying out ultrapure water and wastewater treatment facility construction for the Samsung Electronics Pyeongtaek semiconductor plant P4 and P5 projects, commissioned by Samsung E&A. These works include building systems for supplying ultrapure water and treating wastewater, both of which are essential to semiconductor manufacturing processes.
The main projects Hansung CleanTech is currently executing include the construction of the Green Building and ultrapure water facilities for Samsung Electronics Pyeongtaek P4 Phase 2, and the new Green Building construction for P5 Phase 1.
Specifically, the P4 Phase 2 Green Building wastewater treatment system installation contract was signed in January 2026, valued at approximately 2.27 billion won. The P4 Phase 2 ultrapure water system complex facility contract was signed on March 6, 2026, for approximately 4.34 billion won. In addition, the P5 Phase 1 Green Building wastewater treatment system installation contract was signed in February this year, valued at approximately 1.409 billion won.
A company official stated, "Alongside the expansion of semiconductor manufacturing facilities, demand for ultrapure water and wastewater treatment systems is steadily growing. We are focused on stably executing ongoing projects, and we also expect continued demand for water treatment EPC in additional processes and follow-up investments in the future."
The official added, "Currently, we are carrying out the Green Building wastewater treatment facility for the Pyeongtaek P5 project, so we are also looking forward to the possibility of receiving orders for ultrapure water system installation. As the competition among semiconductor companies to expand production capacity continues, there is also a possibility that the contract size will be gradually increased during the project execution."

Although the stock market has been highly volatile recently due to tensions between the United States and Iran, the industry expects that the facility investment trend focusing on AI semiconductors and HBM will continue in the mid- to long-term. Accordingly, the ultrapure water and water treatment EPC market related to the construction of semiconductor production infrastructure is also projected to maintain a stable growth trajectory.
