Influencer Claims, "Spent 18 Million Won on Rhinoplasty, Now Struggling to Breathe"
A female influencer has filed a lawsuit, claiming that a rhinoplasty procedure she received at a renowned hospital in Bangkok, Thailand, was botched. She stated that she has experienced complications since the operation and is now involved in a dispute with the hospital over compensation.
On March 8, The Thaiger, a Thai media outlet, reported that influencer A said she decided to undergo a revision rhinoplasty at the hospital and paid 400,000 baht (approximately 1,850,000 won) in surgical fees.
A woman in her 20s from Thailand, who works as an influencer, tearfully spoke at a press conference last month on the 28th (local time) that she is experiencing complications such as necrosis after undergoing revision rhinoplasty at a plastic surgery clinic in Bangkok. A explained that she had previously undergone a rhinoplasty, but afterwards began to experience a side effect where her nose became slightly crooked. To address this, she visited Hospital B for a revision procedure in August last year.
She noted that other hospitals she inquired at demanded up to 700,000 baht (approximately 3,250,000 won), but Hospital B was relatively more affordable. She also added that she trusted the reputation of Hospital B's doctor, who was known for treating many celebrities.
However, complications arose following the surgery. According to her, she developed a severe inflammation about a month after the procedure. The tissue inside her nose was damaged, resulting in a sunken area, and despite undergoing ointment treatment for seven months, the issue was not resolved.
She said that breathing became extremely difficult, describing it as feeling like she was having a constant allergic reaction. In addition to physical symptoms, she added that she suffered from panic attacks and a loss of self-confidence, experiencing significant psychological distress as well.
As a result, A said, "My work and income have been affected," and confessed, "I've lost confidence even when looking in the mirror or standing in front of a camera for filming."
She also raised concerns about the way the hospital responded. A claimed, "The hospital refused to refund the full surgical fee. At first, they offered compensation of only tens of thousands of baht, and later adjusted the offer to 100,000 baht (approximately 466,000 won)."

A further stated, "One of the hospital's doctors commented that 'the 400,000 baht surgical fee is not a significant amount of money,' which was extremely upsetting given the impact this surgery has had on my life."
