Collision with Median Near Samseong Jungang Station
Blood Alcohol Level at License Suspension Threshold
Actor Lee Jaeryong was apprehended by police after fleeing the scene of a drunk driving accident in Gangnam, Seoul.
The Gangnam Police Station announced on March 7 that Lee is under investigation on charges including violation of the Road Traffic Act (failure to take measures after an accident).
According to police, at around 2 a.m. on this day, Lee is suspected of driving under the influence near Samseong Jungang Station on Subway Line 9 in Gangnam-gu, hitting the median strip, and then fleeing the scene.
Lee reportedly fled immediately after the accident, parked his car at his home, visited an acquaintance's house, and was then apprehended by the police.
At the time, Lee's blood alcohol concentration was reportedly at a level high enough for license suspension.
The police plan to investigate the specific circumstances of the case based on black box footage and other evidence.
