Excitement in Their First School Bags
The First Steps of New Students
On March 3, the Gumi Office of Education in North Gyeongsang Province (Superintendent: Min Byeongdo) visited Gumi Elementary School and Gumi Middle School to inspect preparations for the new school year, greet students as they arrived in the morning, and support the entrance ceremonies. On site, officials from the Office of Education participated in welcoming first-year students and delivered congratulatory speeches to celebrate their admission.
The entrance ceremony began with an opening address, followed by the national pledge, the declaration of admission, introductions of homeroom teachers, and concluding with words of encouragement and a welcoming speech from the principal.
Through this entrance ceremony, the schools took ample time to empathize with the concerns and anxieties of parents whose children were about to start school. The event also provided guidance on various positive coping strategies, serving as a meaningful opportunity to build mutual understanding and trust between parents and the school regarding education.
Min Byeongdo, Superintendent of the Gumi Office of Education, stated, "Children are beings with limitless potential for growth. If parents always trust and watch over their children, and consistently offer positive guidance, it will greatly benefit their children's development."
