President Lee to Hold North Chungcheong Town Hall on March 13: "The Central Axis Connecting East, West, South, and North"
"It Is Time to Create a Virtuous Cycle Where the Fruits of Advanced Industries Boost the Vitality of the Local Economy"
President Lee Jaemyung announced that he will hold a town hall meeting in North Chungcheong Province on March 13, 2026.
On March 6, 2026, President Lee wrote on Facebook, "I look forward to meeting you in North Chungcheong Province, the central axis connecting the east, west, south, and north of Korea," and stated that 200 participants would be recruited for the event.
President Lee emphasized, "Although North Chungcheong Province is the only inland province in the country without access to the sea, it has leveraged its geographical characteristics to establish an extensive transportation network. On top of the robust infrastructure encompassing Cheongju International Airport and Osong Station, advanced industries have taken root, turning the province into a key hub for future economic growth."
He added, "The achievements of regional development should not remain just as statistics. Now is the time to create a virtuous cycle where the benefits of advanced industries contribute to revitalizing the local economy and improving the quality of life for residents. The most important factor in finding the right path is the voices of the people living here."
