View original imageJeong Euho, a first-term lawmaker of the Democratic Party of Korea, has been nominated as the new Senior Presidential Secretary for Political Affairs at the Blue House.
According to the ruling party on March 3, Jeong is expected to resign from his position as a proportional representative lawmaker on March 4, when the February extraordinary session of the National Assembly ends, and begin his work as Senior Presidential Secretary for Political Affairs.
It has been reported that Jeong will visit the Blue House as soon as his resignation is processed.
With the appointment of Senior Presidential Secretary for Political Affairs Hong Ikpyo last month on February 18 and the addition of Secretary Jeong, all positions for the Blue House's "second political affairs team" have now been filled.
Woo Sangho, the former Senior Presidential Secretary for Political Affairs, and Kim Byungwook, the former Presidential Secretary for Political Affairs, who made up the first political affairs team, will each run for the positions of Governor of Gangwon Province and Mayor of Seongnam in the upcoming June 3 local elections.
