SK Telecom: The Only Korean Partner in Global Collaboration
Nvidia has announced a groundbreaking vision to build "AI-native 6th Generation Mobile Networks (6G)," where artificial intelligence (AI) will be embedded throughout the entire network, in collaboration with global telecommunications operators including SK Telecom.
On March 1, 2026 (local time), during MWC 2026 in Barcelona, Spain, Nvidia unveiled plans for cooperation with major telecom and equipment companies such as SK Telecom, BT, Deutsche Telekom, Ericsson, Nokia, SoftBank, and T-Mobile. The core of this collaboration is to advance 6G beyond simply being a data delivery network, transforming it into an AI computational infrastructure that supports the training and inference of AI models.
Nvidia aims to lay the foundation for the 6G era with a software-defined network architecture that integrates AI across all domains, including the radio access network (RAN), core, and edge. This will enable the network to serve as a central nervous system, connecting billions of AI-powered devices—such as autonomous vehicles, robots, and industrial sensors—in real time.
SK Telecom, the only Korean company to participate in this vision declaration, will serve as a key partner in expanding Nvidia’s AI-native ecosystem. As a board member of the AI-RAN Alliance—the world’s largest coalition in this field with about 130 member companies—SK Telecom is leading efforts to establish 6G standardization and secure technological leadership.

Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia, stated, "AI is redefining computing, and telecommunications is the next frontier of infrastructure innovation.
