Chaum Introduces Mitochondria-Based "Mito Cellbooster" Skin Procedure
"The First Cell Booster Procedure Showcased with CHA Hospital's Expertise"
Chaum announced on the 26th that it will introduce a mitochondria-based skin procedure called "Mito Cellbooster" built on the cell technology expertise of CHA Hospital and CHA Bio Group.
Professor Jin Seokin of Chaum Dermatologic Surgery Clinic is performing the Mito Selbuseuteo procedure. According to Cha Hospital, the Mito Selbuseuteo is a cell booster procedure that uses mitochondria, the core of cellular energy, to restore skin cell energy and fundamentally strengthen overall skin condition. Unlike conventional PRP procedures, which primarily utilize platelets, this procedure is differentiated by using mitochondria together with plasma. According to the hospital, special reagents are used to concentrate mitochondria that could otherwise be lost during centrifugation, thereby enhancing the cells' energy production function.
The hospital explained that the injected components are absorbed into skin cells through endocytosis, promoting ATP synthesis and helping with collagen and elastin production, improvement of pigmentary disorders, and reduction of inflammation. By strengthening the basic vitality of skin cells, it may also help maintain the effects of lifting and laser treatments.
Professor Jin Seokin of Chaum Dermatologic and Cosmetic Clinic said, "This is a cell-level procedure focused on creating an environment in which the skin can recover on its own by restoring cellular energy."
