Together and apart, pairing up for a special stage
A special stage was prepared that brought together four pianists who represent Korea: Cho Seongjin, Lim Yunchan, Kim Sunwook, and Sunwoo Yekwon. It took place on the 25th at the Concert Hall of the Seoul Arts Center during the “Asan Chung Juyoung 25th Anniversary Memorial Concert.” Under the theme “Continuing Resonance,” Hyundai Motor Group honored the entrepreneurial spirit and timeless philosophy of founding chairman Chung Juyoung through this concert.

View original imageIn the first part of the concert, the four pianists performed in pairs. Kim Sunwook and Cho Seongjin played Schubert’s “Fantasy in F minor for Piano Four Hands,” while Sunwoo Yekwon and Lim Yunchan performed Rachmaninoff’s “Suite No. 2 for Two Pianos.” In the second part, all four pianists collaborated in performances of Liszt’s “Hexameron” and the overture to Wagner’s opera “Tannhauser.”

The concert was attended by Hyundai Motor Group executives and employees, including Chairman Chung Euisun, Vice Chairman Jang Jaehoon, and President Jose Munoz, as well as figures from the broader Hyundai family such as Chung Mongjoon, Chairman of the Asan Foundation, Chung Kisun, Chairman of HD Hyundai, and Chung Taeyoung, Vice Chairman of Hyundai Card. From the political sphere, attendees included First Lady Kim Hye-kyung, presidential policy chief Kim Yongbeom, Kim Kyoungsoo, Chair of the Presidential Committee for Balanced National Development, former People Power Party Emergency Committee Chairman Kim Chongin, and People Power Party lawmaker Na Kyungwon. From the business community, attendees included Hong Rahee, honorary director of the Leeum Museum of Art, Lee Seo-hyun, President of Samsung C&T, Kim Jae-yeol, President of the International Skating Union (ISU) and member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Executive Board, and Shin Dongbin, Chairman of Lotte Group.
