National Assembly Daycare Child Abuse Teacher Placed Under Overseas Travel Ban
The police have imposed an overseas travel ban on Teacher A, who is accused of abusing a child at the National Assembly daycare center.
The Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul announced on the 25th that it booked A the previous day (the 24th) on charges of abusing a child at the National Assembly daycare center, including throwing a child onto the floor, and is currently investigating the case.
According to a daycare center official, A was said to have resigned from the daycare center in late February and was planning to go abroad to study.
After learning of this, the guardian of the victimized child asked the Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul to prevent A from leaving the country, and the police, judging that there was a risk of flight, imposed the overseas travel ban.
Meanwhile, in line with the policy that cases involving children under the age of 10 are investigated by the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, the police transferred the case there today.
