[Market Focus] Suseong Webtoon Jumps as Targeting 10 Billion Won Operating Profit Highlights Undervaluation
Suseong Webtoon is strong. As solid earnings are expected, the stock appears attractive due to its undervaluation.
As of 12:49 p.m. on the 23rd, Suseong Webtoon was trading at 1,822 won, up 5.32% from the previous day.
A Suseong Webtoon representative said on the 19th, "As profitability has continued to improve, operating profit in the webtoon business division has grown to a level close to 10 billion won," adding, "This year as well, we expect a meaningful expansion of operating profit."
In fact, Suseong Webtoon's cumulative operating profit through the third quarter of last year stood at around 9.2 billion won. Nevertheless, the company's current market capitalization is in the 33 billion won range, and analysts say its price-earnings ratio (PER) remains remarkably low. Its price-to-book ratio (PBR) is also around 0.24 times.
