Neotis Achieves 68.7 Billion Won in Sales and 7.8 Billion Won in Operating Profit... Benefits from Advanced PCB Demand in Full Swing
Neotis, a specialist in micro-bits for PCB processing, announced on the 20th that its consolidated operating profit for last year was 7.8 billion won, up 144.8% from a year earlier. During the same period, consolidated sales came to 68.7 billion won, an increase of 26.5% from the previous year.
The company cited the increase in high-layer, high-density PCBs driven by the spread of AI high-performance semiconductors as the main driver of this performance growth. It explained that demand for micro-bits used in PCB via-hole processing has surged, leading to a sharp rise in sales in the related segment, and that the expansion in demand for high-precision, high-durability products has also contributed to the improvement in results.
As PCB multilayering progresses, the structural volume of micro-bit usage increases, and as processing becomes more difficult, the wear rate and replacement cycle both become shorter. As a result, demand is expanding not only in terms of simple volume growth but also for high-specification products at the same time. The company expects this market growth trend to continue and forecasts that micro-bits will continue to drive its performance growth this year as well.
A company official said, "As the application of high-performance semiconductors for AI expands, customer requests for micro-bit volumes are increasing sharply," adding, "At present, the utilization rate remains at a high level to the point that special weekend shifts are being operated to secure production volume, and we are also preparing capacity expansion in response."
