Daejeon Tourism Organization Recruiting Companies for the "Daejeon-Sejong Tourism Job Support Program"
Up to 7.8 Million Won in Support per Young Tourism Talent Hire
Recruitment Held Twice in Total, in February and May
The "2026 Daejeon-Sejong Tourism Job Support Program" will be implemented to ease the labor cost burden on local tourism companies and provide local young people with practical work experience in the tourism sector.
The Daejeon Tourism Organization, together with the Korea Tourism Organization, Daejeon City, and Sejong City, is recruiting participating companies for the "2026 Daejeon-Sejong Tourism Job Support Program," which connects tourism companies based in Daejeon and Sejong with outstanding tourism talent in the region.
The "Daejeon-Sejong Tourism Job Support Program" aims to reduce the labor cost burden on local tourism companies and to provide local youth with hands-on experience in the tourism field. To this end, hiring will take place twice, in February and May, through individual interview matching between companies and young job seekers, reflecting both the companies' staffing needs and the job seekers' desired roles.
Eligible applicants are "tourism companies in Daejeon and Sejong that fall under the Enforcement Decree of the Tourism Promotion Act" or "companies registered as individual or corporate businesses in Daejeon and Sejong with tourism-related items." For each company that finalizes a hire, the program will provide wage support for one intern, along with tourism-related capacity-building training and opportunities to participate in various events.
This program, which targets a total of 22 companies, will recruit 11 companies in the first round from February 19 to March 3. In the second round, on-site matching will take place at the "2026 Tourism Job Festa" to be held in July, and 11 companies will each receive support for three months.
Kim Yongwon, President of the Daejeon Tourism Organization, said, "As this project simultaneously supports tourism talent development and alleviates the burden of workforce management, we look forward to the active participation of tourism companies in Daejeon and Sejong," adding, "We will continue to expand our support to revitalize the local tourism industry and create quality jobs."
