The company plans to enhance the stability of equipment procurement by expanding supply chain cooperation with local companies and to connect this cooperation to future nuclear power projects in the Czech Republic.
On the 10th, Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power announced that it had signed a contract at its headquarters with CICM, a Czech cable specialist company, to supply cable equipment needed for the construction of the tritium removal facility in Romania.
This contract was pursued to ensure the smooth execution of the Romania tritium removal facility construction project, in which Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power is participating as an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contractor. In this project, Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power oversees the entire process from design to equipment procurement and construction, and through this contract it has secured key cable equipment used in the power supply, communications, control, and fire protection fields.
CICM is a specialized company that has supplied plant equipment cables to nuclear power plants including the Dukovany Nuclear Power Plant in the Czech Republic and to various facilities across Europe, and it has been recognized for its technological capabilities and quality competitiveness in the field. Taking this cooperation as an opportunity, Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power plans to expand its network with Czech companies and establish a stable equipment supply system for nuclear power projects in Europe, including the future Dukovany Nuclear Power Plant project.
