The Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education held the "2026 School Violence Investigator Appointment Ceremony" at Hotel Suseong on February 4.
A total of 155 investigators were appointed this time, consisting of retired teachers and police officers, as well as experts with extensive experience in youth guidance, protection, and counseling.
On the same day, the Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education also conducted training to strengthen the investigators' capacity to handle cases, including sharing best practices, educational approaches to resolving school violence, and guidelines for responding to incidents.
The school violence investigator system was introduced to enhance the expertise and fairness of handling school violence cases, and the appointed investigators will serve for one year from March 1, 2026, to the end of February 2027. When school violence cases are reported, they conduct neutral and objective investigations and report the results to the school violence task organization, case review meetings, and deliberation committees.
