In particular, this program is highly regarded for enhancing the ability of shop masters, who are in a partner relationship with the company, to professionally propose trendy items using this year’s colors.
Gwangju Shinsegae conducted the 2026 Color & Trend training program, organized by the Korea Institute for Career Research & Development, a total of two times for 100 staff members from partner companies.
The training included watching video clips of luxury brand fashion shows, as well as instruction on styling products in this year’s colors: “Cloud Dancer,” “Ice Blue,” and “Transformative Teal.”
The 2026 colors of the year are “Cloud Dancer,” which is close to white; “Ice Blue,” which combines a subtle metallic blue with silver tones; and “Transformative Teal,” a deeper and more vivid teal tone than the feathers on a teal duck’s head. It is especially expected to be a trend to coordinate tops and bottoms that use items in these colors of the year as accents under outerwear.
Staff from partner companies who participated in this training expressed satisfaction that they were able to acquire the ability to analyze trends and colors based on fundamental fashion knowledge.
By understanding the 2026 fashion trends, they are expected to make more professional color recommendations and propose products that accurately match customer needs, leading to a more satisfying shopping experience for customers in stores.
The company also plans to visit Seoul Fashion Week, held at Dongdaemun Design Plaza, to continue strengthening its service capabilities, rather than making this a one-off training event.
