Capital Market-Related Funds Reach 9,534.2 Trillion Won Last Year, Up 22% from Previous Year
The Korea Securities Depository announced on January 30 that the total amount of capital market-related funds processed through the institution last year reached 9,534.2 trillion won, a 22.1% increase compared to the previous year.
Funds for stock and bond transaction settlements amounted to 9,024.6 trillion won, accounting for 94.6% of all capital market-related funds. Registered securities principal and interest totaled 2,558 trillion won, making up 2.7%, while collective investment securities funds amounted to 1,792 trillion won, accounting for 1.9%.

Among transaction settlement funds, over-the-counter repo settlement funds were the largest at 8,323.3 trillion won (92.2%). Bond institution settlement funds amounted to 547 trillion won (6.0%), on-exchange bond settlement funds were 77.6 trillion won (0.9%), stock institution settlement funds were 50.1 trillion won (0.6%), and on-exchange stock settlement funds were 26.6 trillion won (0.3%).
