Taejin Kim of Gwangju Seo-gu Council: "We Must Take the Lead in Creating Walkable Neighborhoods"
Taejin Kim, a member of the Gwangju Seo-gu Council from the Progressive Party, argued at the second plenary session of the 337th extraordinary meeting of the Seo-gu Council on January 23 that "environmental improvements are needed for the Seo-gu Walkable Paths."
Kim stated, "The Seo-gu Walkable Paths project is one of the major core initiatives of the Seo-gu Office in 2026 and has been promoted to enhance the quality of life for Seo-gu residents in their daily lives, so continuous management is necessary." He added, "Sangmu 1-dong is a representative walkable neighborhood, but trash and other waste are left unattended in various places, and on the Soteong-gil in Chipyeong-dong, soil overflows onto the pedestrian path, which is unsightly."
