At the earnings conference call for the fourth quarter of 2025 held on January 29, Samsung Electronics stated, "The burden of major component prices is increasing across the industry," and added, "We will secure supply stability through strategic partnerships with key partners and continue to pursue resource efficiency to minimize the risk of profit decline."
Regarding this year's outlook for the smartphone market, the company said, "We expect sales to grow slightly this year, while shipment volumes are likely to remain at similar levels." However, it also noted, "There is room for market forecast adjustments as industry conditions, such as the recent supply and demand of memory semiconductors, are rapidly changing."
For the Galaxy S26 series, scheduled for release next month, the company commented, "It features fourth-generation AI experiences, a second-generation custom AP, and a new camera sensor, delivering powerful performance." Samsung Electronics added, "Based on these, we will innovate the user experience and expand sales."

In the fourth quarter of last year, the MX Division of Samsung Electronics recorded smartphone shipments of 60 million units and tablet shipments of 6 million units. The average selling price (ASP) of smartphones was $244 (approximately 350,000 KRW).
