Benefits for Customers Purchasing Over 1 Million Won During the Holiday Gift Season
Lotte Department Store announced on January 28 that during the pre-order sales period (January 9-25) for the "Lotte Gift Club" ahead of this year's Lunar New Year, sales from premium customers doubled compared to the previous Lunar New Year.
The "Lotte Gift Club" is the department store industry's first "holiday gift premium customer membership," offering special benefits and rewards to premium customers who purchase food gift sets totaling at least 1 million won during the holiday gift period. Anyone, whether an individual or a corporate customer, can join through the Lotte Department Store app.

View original imageThe "Lotte Gift Club" was officially launched during last year's Chuseok gift season in August, based on the insight that VIP and high-spending customers make significant contributions to sales even in the holiday market. By thoroughly analyzing large-scale detailed indicators such as the purchase amount and items bought by premium customers who spend more than 1 million won, Lotte Department Store developed exclusive benefits unique to the "Lotte Gift Club."
With the launch of the "Lotte Gift Club," Lotte Department Store has achieved a synergistic effect of "increasing premium customers" and "expanding sales." In its first year, during the last Chuseok gift period, the total number of premium customers increased by more than 20% compared to the previous year, and the contribution of premium customers to holiday sales reached a record high in the 60% range.
This year, the Lotte Gift Club focused on "enhancing personalized benefits," further upgrading its offerings and contributing to increased sales. While last year the emphasis was on offline benefits, this year the range of benefits has been expanded to include online channels to match the evolving lifestyles of customers.
At "Lotte Department Store offline locations," from the start of pre-order sales on January 9 until the end of the main sales period on February 15, Lotte Gift Club members who purchase holiday food gift sets worth at least 1 million won will receive gift certificates worth 5% or 7% of their purchase amount, depending on the amount spent. At "Lotte Department Store Mall," the benefits extend for two additional days, until February 17. Lotte Gift Club members who purchase at least 1 million won on the mall will receive 8% L.Point rewards.
Lotte Department Store is also considering offering "ongoing benefits" to Lotte Gift Club members. In addition to the holiday period, the company plans to provide exclusive benefits for Lotte Gift Club members during peak gift-giving seasons throughout the year, such as Family Month and Christmas.
