'GPU AI Cloud' AIV Secures Pre-Series A Funding... Total Investment Reaches 2.1 Billion Won
Distributed artificial intelligence (AI) cloud startup AIV announced on January 28 that it has secured a pre-Series A investment of 600 million won from Bluepoint Partners, Row Partners, and AI Angel Club. Including this round, the company's total cumulative investment now stands at 2.1 billion won.
AIV is an AI infrastructure company based on a distributed computing architecture that connects idle graphics processing unit (GPU) resources located around the world, rather than relying on a centralized data center.
Through partnerships with companies that operate nationwide PC room networks, AirCloud secures idle GPU resources. In addition, the company directly builds personal large language model (LLM) devices in key regional hubs, enabling the integrated use of various types of distributed resources.
This approach allows AIV to provide a stable AI inference environment at up to 40% lower cost compared to traditional solutions, even without a data center. Its key feature is enabling users to run and deploy AI models without complex infrastructure configurations or the need for specialized personnel.
AIV has demonstrated its technological capabilities and business viability through technology and business validation programs with major IT companies, including LG U+ SHIFT, Samsung CLab, and SK Telecom AI Accelerating Program. With this investment, the company plans to accelerate its business expansion by further advancing its enterprise cloud technology.

The company has great potential to grow into a key player leading the next-generation AI infrastructure market."
