All Five Major Dance Projects Hosted by Korea Dance Association Receive 'A' Grade in Government Awards Evaluation
The Korea Dance Association announced on January 27 that all major dance awards and competitions it hosted last year received an A grade in the government awards project evaluation.
The association's projects that received an A grade include the 2025 Young Choreographers Creative Performance, the 62nd National New Dancers Competition, the 2025 Emerging Dance Artists Development Project Korea International Contemporary Dance Competition, the 34th National Dance Festival, and the 2025 Korea Dance Awards-a total of five projects.
The association explained that the 2025 Young Choreographers Creative Performance and the 2025 Emerging Dance Artists Development Project Korea International Contemporary Dance Competition were highly regarded for serving as gateways for the next generation of choreographers, supporting original creative stages, and fostering global talent. The 62nd National New Dancers Competition reaffirmed its reputation as a prestigious event for discovering outstanding dance talent, based on its long history and tradition. The 34th National Dance Festival further solidified its status as Korea's leading dance festival, promoting balanced development and revitalization of regional dance arts. The association also emphasized that the 2025 Korea Dance Awards, which concludes the year in dance arts, earned the honor of an A grade by selecting the year's best dancers and works through fair and authoritative judging, receiving praise from both the public and the arts community.
The association stated that the fact that all five evaluated projects received an A grade is highly significant, as it demonstrates that the association's core projects were consistently recognized for excellence in setting clear objectives, operating fair and transparent judging processes, and maintaining stable on-site management and performance oversight.
