KOFST Discusses Solutions for Transforming Urban Transportation with Advanced Air Mobility
Exploring Global Cooperation Strategies for Electric Flight, eVTOL, and AI-Based Autonomous Flight
The Korean Federation of Science and Technology Societies (KOFST) is set to discuss advanced air mobility (AAM) technologies in response to urban traffic congestion and the growing demand for eco-friendly transportation. The main objective is to concretize international cooperation strategies surrounding next-generation aviation technologies, including electric flight, electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft (eVTOL), and AI-based autonomous flight.
KOFST announced that it will host the "AI Convergence Future Aircraft Research Exchange (Electric Flight and eVTOL)" in Incheon from January 28 to 30, bringing together aerospace experts from major countries such as the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Japan to discuss the latest research trends and future directions in the AAM sector. This exchange goes beyond simple academic presentations, focusing on practical discussions aimed at joint research and the establishment of a global cooperation network.

Participants will explore opportunities for collaboration, focusing on technology maturity, regulatory challenges, international standards, and market entry strategies.
Researchers and industry experts from institutions such as Cranfield University (UK), the University of Michigan (USA), Nagoya University (Japan), and the German Aerospace Center (DLR) will participate in the event to share research achievements and field experience. KOFST plans to leverage this opportunity to strengthen the "brain circulation network" and enhance the international competitiveness of domestic research in air mobility.
