Yangju City Expands Yangju Sarang Gift Certificate Incentive to 10%... Hopes for Revitalizing the Local Economy
Yangju City in Gyeonggi Province has launched an initiative to revitalize local businesses and the regional economy by expanding incentives for the Yangju Sarang Gift Certificate ahead of Seollal, the nation's largest traditional holiday.
For the month of February, which includes the Seollal holiday, the city will raise the incentive rate for the Yangju local currency from the previous 8% to 10%. This move aims to stimulate local consumption, ease the burden of holiday preparations for residents, and inject vitality into neighborhood businesses.
This incentive increase is intended to help alleviate the rising cost of living ahead of the holiday and to support increased sales for small business owners in traditional markets and neighborhood shopping districts.
The recharge limit will remain unchanged from the previous month, set at a maximum of 500,000 won per month. Within this limit, citizens can receive up to 50,000 won in incentives, equivalent to 10% of their recharge amount.
