Seoul’s 'Ttaenggyeoyo' Records 154.4 Billion Won in Sales Last Year... Saves 9 Billion Won in Small Business Commissions
Sales Up 3.6 Times Year-on-Year... Significant Cost Savings for Store Owners
Over 80% of Citizens and Store Owners Express "Intention to Continue Using"
Last year, the sales of Seoul’s public delivery service 'Seoul Delivery Plus Ttaenggyeoyo' reached 154.4 billion won, a 3.6-fold increase compared to the previous year. The reduction in commission fees for small business owners amounted to 9 billion won.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on January 26 that Seoul Delivery Plus Ttaenggyeoyo surpassed annual sales of 154.4 billion won in 2025. This figure represents an increase of 112.1 billion won, or 3.6 times, compared to the previous year, marking significant growth in just one year. Additionally, last year, the service recorded 6.17 million orders, 54,000 affiliated stores, and 2.5 million members.
The reduction of burdens on small business owners is also noteworthy. Seoul Delivery Plus Ttaenggyeoyo applies a brokerage commission rate of about 2%, which is lower than private delivery platforms (up to 7.8%). Based on 2025 sales, this is estimated to have resulted in commission savings of about 9 billion won. Since the platform operates without separate advertising or exposure fees, affiliated store owners experience significant cost savings.
The expansion of payment options via Seoul Sarang Gift Certificates and Onnuri Gift Certificates has also reduced the payment processing fee burden for affiliated stores. While credit card transaction fees are around 3%, Seoul Sarang Gift Certificates and Onnuri Gift Certificates have lower fees ranging from 0 to 0.5%. Of the total 154.4 billion won in payments last year, Seoul Sarang Gift Certificates accounted for 38% (59.6 billion won) and Onnuri Gift Certificates for 12% (18.3 billion won), meaning that about half of the total transaction volume benefited from lower fees, thereby reducing the burden on small business owners.
The public delivery app also received high marks for reliability and satisfaction. According to a survey by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, as of last year, Seoul Delivery Plus Ttaenggyeoyo’s market share was 7.7%, about three times higher than the previous year. In a survey conducted in November last year (400 Seoul citizens and 300 affiliated store owners), 85.0% of Seoul citizens and 84.2% of affiliated store owners responded that they "intend to continue using the service."
