28,000 Regular Employees to Be Hired by Public Institutions This Year

The Ministry of Economy and Finance finalized this public institution recruitment plan on the 27th. The number of regular positions to be filled by public institutions this year is expected to reach 28,000, an increase of more than 4,000 compared to last year.
In addition, the number of youth internship positions, which serve as a stepping stone to regular employment, will be expanded to around 24,000.
Institutions planning to hire more than 1,000 people this year include Korea Railroad Corporation, National Health Insurance Service, Korea Workers' Compensation & Welfare Service, Seoul National University Hospital, and Korea Electric Power Corporation.
Korea Railroad Corporation has announced the largest number of new hires at 1,800. The National Health Insurance Service will recruit a total of 1,226 people, including 1,138 regular employees and 88 permanent contract workers. Seoul National University Hospital (1,076) and Korea Electric Power Corporation (1,042) have also announced plans to hire more than 1,000 new employees.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Economy and Finance will hold the '2026 Public Institution Recruitment Information Fair' at the aT Center in Yangjae, Seoul, from today until the 29th. Now in its 16th year, the fair attracts participation from around 140 institutions every year.
