Gwangju Christian Hospital Introduces AI-Powered CT Equipment 'Revolution Ascend'
Gwangju Christian Hospital announced on January 21 that it has introduced GE Healthcare's latest CT equipment, the "Revolution Ascend CT," to establish a more accurate and rapid diagnostic environment.
The newly installed "Revolution Ascend CT" is state-of-the-art equipment featuring artificial intelligence (AI)-based technology, designed to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of examinations and provide patients with more reliable diagnostic services. In particular, its AI-powered automatic patient positioning camera automatically sets the patient's position for CT scans, reducing preparation time and improving imaging accuracy.
Additionally, the CT images acquired after scanning are reconstructed using deep learning-based technology, enabling clearer and more precise images. This ensures stable image quality even in low-dose scanning environments. The hospital expects that the introduction of this equipment will enable it to provide an improved examination environment in the field of radiology.
Previously, in November of last year, Gwangju Christian Hospital also introduced GE Healthcare's "Revolution Apex Elite" CT equipment. This device is designed to allow stable examinations for patients with high or irregular heart rates without the need for separate heart rate control medication, contributing to the establishment of a customized imaging diagnostic environment for a wide range of patient groups.
