Unification and Foreign Ministries Hold Vice-Ministerial Talks: "Frequent Communication on Korean Peninsula Policy"
The Ministry of Unification and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have agreed to hold vice-ministerial-level consultations on an as-needed basis to coordinate policies on the Korean Peninsula.

View original imageAccording to the Ministry of Unification on January 16, Kim Namjoong, Vice Minister of Unification, and Jeong Yeondu, Director-General of the Foreign Strategy and Intelligence Bureau at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, held a working lunch meeting on the same day. Previously, the two ministries had experienced conflicts over regular consultations between South Korea and the United States on North Korea policy, and have since decided to hold regular consultations to resolve these issues.
