'The Great Flood' Enters All-Time Top 10 at Seventh Place

The Korean film 'The Great Flood' and the series 'Cashierro' have each topped Netflix's non-English film and TV show categories, respectively.
According to Netflix's official site 'Tudum' on January 7, 'The Great Flood' recorded 11.1 million views last week (calculated by dividing viewing hours by the running time). It maintained the number one spot in the non-English film category for the third consecutive week, surpassing titles such as 'Haq' (3.4 million) and 'Time of Heroes' (3 million). The film ranked in the top 10 in about 80 countries, including Korea, Hong Kong, Brazil, and Thailand.
'The Great Flood' also achieved remarkable results in cumulative records. Since its release on December 19, it has reached 72.1 million views, making it the seventh most popular non-English film of all time. This marks the first time a Korean film has entered Netflix's all-time top 10 chart.
The film is a science fiction disaster blockbuster depicting a desperate struggle inside a flooded apartment on the last day of Earth, which has been overtaken by a great flood.
In the series category, 'Cashierro' claimed the top spot just two weeks after its release. It recorded 6.1 million views last week and appeared on the 'Top 10' list in a total of 51 countries. This series is a relatable superhero story about Sang-ung, who gains a supernatural power that makes him stronger in proportion to the cash he holds, and his struggle between covering his living expenses and using his superpower.
