The Blue House announced that President Lee made these remarks while attending the kick-off ceremony for all staff, which was held at the State Guesthouse at 10 a.m. that day.
This kick-off ceremony was the first all-staff event since returning to the Blue House, and the Blue House explained that it served as an opportunity for President Lee to communicate directly with public officials, clearly expressing his commitment to on-site communication and people-centered governance.
President Lee repeatedly emphasized to the staff the sense of responsibility and mission of public officials who are accountable for the lives of the people. He asked them to deeply recognize that every mindset and action of a public official is directly connected to the lives and futures of countless citizens, and to sincerely dedicate themselves to their duties.
