[Market Focus] Hyundai Movex Hits Record High on Imminent Additional Robotics Orders
With expectations for a significant performance boost next year, driven by the potential for additional orders in the robotics division, Hyundai Movex reached an all-time high.
As of 9:59 a.m. on December 22, Hyundai Movex was trading at 16,330 won, up 2,730 won (20.07%) from the previous trading day.
On this day, Bookook Securities evaluated Hyundai Movex, stating, "The company's performance is expected to improve significantly next year, centered on the expansion of orders in the robotics division."
Bookook Securities researcher Kim Sunghwan emphasized, "Most of the recently announced orders, including those from Kolmar Korea, involve about 100 automated guided vehicles (AGVs) being continuously deployed. Picking robots equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) have entered manufacturing plants of major domestic conglomerates in Pyeongtaek, and it appears that additional orders for other facilities from related companies are imminent."
The company's entry into overseas markets is also accelerating. Based on orders from Hankook Tire, Hyundai Movex is favorably positioned in the final bidding stages with leading companies in Europe, with the scale estimated at between 50 billion and 70 billion won. The platform screen door (PSD) division holds the top market share in Korea, currently accounting for more than 50% of installed screen doors. Starting at the end of this year, significant replacement demand is expected, with bids exceeding 20 billion won per quarter scheduled to take place.
