Aceworks Supplies Testing Equipment for Hyundai Motor's 'MobED' Robot Platform
Mobility tech company Aceworks announced on December 16 that it has supplied electric drive system testing equipment for Hyundai Motor and Kia's next-generation mobility robot platform project, MobED (Mobile Eccentric Droid).
This testing equipment will serve as a core validation infrastructure essential for precise verification of the drive modules and for ensuring durability and reliability, thereby enhancing the overall quality of MobED.
The testing equipment, which Aceworks finished supplying at the end of last month, is a high-performance test system that evaluates the performance and durability of electric drive systems, including electric motors, reducers, and actuators.
It can virtually simulate real-world driving conditions and repeatedly apply extreme loads. The system supports high-torque load control, real-time feedback control, and multi-axis testing environments, enabling it to respond to a wide range of development conditions. Ultimately, it is designed to quantitatively evaluate the stability and repetitive operation characteristics of the drive modules.

It features a structure that ensures stability even in narrow spaces or complex terrain, making it highly promising for use in various fields such as service robots and indoor mobility platforms. Precise verification of drive components is essential to further improve the platform’s quality.
With the supply of this testing equipment, Aceworks has expanded its accumulated control and validation technologies from the electric vehicle and autonomous driving sectors into the field of robot platform development.
