Under the theme "A Year's Footsteps Built Together by Youth Centers and Local Communities," the event provided a platform to share outstanding cases from the past year, including ▲ regionally specialized youth projects, ▲ youth resource councils, and ▲ youth policy entry consultations, all promoted by youth centers across the country. It also served as an opportunity to discuss future development directions.
More than 100 people attended, including staff from regional youth support centers nationwide and officials from the Office for Government Policy Coordination, sharing experiences and strengthening collaborative networks.
In the first session, 59 youth centers from across the country presented best practices of "regionally specialized youth projects" tailored to local characteristics and youth needs. Highlights included ▲ a support program for single-person youth households by the Gwangju Dong-gu Youth Participation Committee, ▲ a community-based youth recovery project by the Seoul Mapo Startup and Employment Support Center, and ▲ collaboration cases among basic local government youth centers by the Daegu Metropolitan City Youth Center.
Next, best practices of "youth support councils" from the Gyeongsangbuk-do Youth Center and the Seoul Metropolitan Youth Center were presented. The presenters emphasized that "youth issues are complex, but resources are limited, so it is necessary to design youth growth pathways together through close public-private cooperation."
In the second session, the Central Youth Support Center shared the results of a fact-finding survey on "youth policy entry consultations" conducted since June 2025 in collaboration with 11 regional youth support centers nationwide.
According to a survey of 233 participating young people, satisfaction with the consultations scored 4.13 out of 5, and 76% expressed willingness to recommend the service. Many positive responses were received, such as "It showed me a way forward" and "It helped me recover emotional support and self-esteem."
Professor Lee Haenim of Dongguk University, who led the research, identified "low entry barriers, youth-centeredness, integrated approaches, long-term companionship, and evidence-based practices" as core values.
A roundtable is being held between the youth policy entry consultation manager and participating young people.
