Dongseo University and Motorhead Sign Agreement for AI-Based Next-Generation VFX Technology Development and Talent Cultivation
Dongseo University (President Jang Je-guk) has joined forces with Motorhead Co., Ltd. (CEO Noh Geuk-tae) to embark on the development of next-generation VFX technology and talent cultivation.
On December 11, Dongseo University announced that it had recently signed an MOU with Motorhead in the Global Room on the 11th floor of the New Millennium Hall to conduct joint research on an AI-based next-generation VFX pipeline and to foster practical, specialized professionals.
The event was attended by Jang Je-guk, President of Dongseo University; Cho Dae-soo, Director; Hwang Ki-hyun, Head of Department; Cho Seung-woo, Dean; Professor Lee Jun-seok (moderator); as well as key officials from Motorhead including CEO Noh Geuk-tae, CEO Han Tae-jung, and Director Kim Dong-soo.
Dongseo University and Motorhead are signing a memorandum of understanding to develop AI-based next-generation VFX technology and foster talent development.
View original imageThrough the agreement, the two sides agreed to cooperate in the following areas: ▲ Advancement of AI-based VFX pipeline and joint R&D initiatives ▲ Nurturing practical talent tailored to industry needs and strengthening employment connections ▲ Expanding field training and internship opportunities ▲ Expanding the video industry ecosystem in the Busan region and establishing a virtuous cycle model of industry-academia cooperation.
Jang Je-guk, President of Dongseo University, stated, "We are now able to build a high-end video technology infrastructure in the Busan region through collaboration with local universities, which has previously been concentrated in the Seoul metropolitan area. Going forward, we will expand technical cooperation into next-generation content fields utilizing AI, aiming to establish Busan as Asia's leading video technology R&D hub."

Noh Geuk-tae, CEO of Motorhead, said, "By combining our high-quality VFX practical data with Dongseo University's AI technology, we will streamline the traditionally manual processes and secure a hybrid production solution that meets global OTT quality standards, thereby enhancing our competitiveness in securing content projects both domestically and internationally."
