'NanumAe Chan,' which opened this time, is a side dish lunchbox manufacturing facility created as part of the 'Senior Job-Linked Regional Community Co-Growth Project' that Hana Financial Group has been promoting in cooperation with local governments. Yeonsu-gu provided the space, while Hana Financial Group built the cooking facilities necessary to produce side dish lunchboxes, thereby completing the project.
The opening ceremony was attended by executives and staff from Hana Financial Group and Yeonsu-gu Office, representatives from the Incheon Community Chest of Korea and the Korea Labor Force Development Institute for the Aged, as well as senior employees hired at the lunchbox manufacturing facility. They celebrated the opening of 'NanumAe Chan' and took the opportunity to communicate and connect with one another.
'NanumAe Chan' means 'sharing hearts through side dish lunchboxes filled with love.' The facility plans to contribute to local job creation by employing middle-aged and senior job seekers in Incheon who are willing to work throughout the entire process of manufacturing, packaging, and delivering the side dish lunchboxes. The completed lunchboxes will be delivered to approximately 350 households of vulnerable youth and elderly people living alone, helping to support healthy eating habits for both groups.
In particular, by prioritizing the procurement of ingredients needed for side dish production from local agricultural and fishery markets and small business stores, the project aims to strengthen the self-sufficiency of neighborhood businesses. In the future, the facility also plans to sell a variety of snacks at affordable prices to local residents, thereby ensuring the long-term sustainability of the senior job creation initiative.
Jeon Byungkwon, Regional Representative of the Gyeongin Sales Headquarters at Hana Bank, stated, "Through this project, we expect not only to create jobs for seniors and support vulnerable groups in the Incheon area, but also to help establish a sustainable virtuous cycle for the local economy. We will continue to practice genuine inclusive finance so that our senior customers can be respected and enjoy healthy lives."
In October, Hana Financial Group also opened 'Happiness in Every Meal: Dam:Da,' a side dish lunchbox manufacturing facility in Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, and plans to promote the 'Senior Job-Linked Co-Growth Project' in Busan in the future.
