Accordingly, the National Gugak Center plans to sign a customized service contract with the Public Procurement Service for the basic and detailed design services after the total project cost is finalized with the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
The construction of the Gangwon Branch of the National Gugak Center is scheduled to proceed with the goal of completion by 2030. This will follow a series of preliminary procedures, including the signing of a business agreement in October 2024 and a preliminary feasibility study for national facilities by the Ministry of Economy and Finance in 2025. The National Gugak Center will be responsible for the design and completion of the facility, while Gangneung City will handle the construction of the access road and auxiliary facilities, under a clear division of roles.
