View original imageAccording to the Korea Meteorological Administration, as of 5:25 a.m. on this day, a heavy snow advisory was issued for the Gangwon region (Pyeongchang plains and Hwacheon). The expected snowfall is 3 to 8 centimeters in the mountainous areas and east coast of Gangwon (with more than 10 centimeters in some places), and around 1 centimeter in the inland areas of Gangwon. The expected precipitation is 5 to 10 millimeters in the Seoul metropolitan area, 5 to 15 millimeters on the east coast of Gangwon, 5 to 10 millimeters in the inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon, and around 5 millimeters in the Chungcheong and Jeolla regions.
As of 5 a.m., the temperatures in major regions were as follows: Seoul 5.2°C, Incheon 6.1°C, Suwon 5.2°C, Chuncheon 0.6°C, Gangneung 8.5°C, Cheongju 5.1°C, Daejeon 4.5°C, Jeonju 8.5°C, Gwangju 7.0°C, Jeju 13.1°C, Daegu 4.3°C, Busan 9.3°C, Ulsan 5.3°C, and Changwon 6.8°C. Daytime highs are forecast to range between 6°C and 16°C.

Wave heights are expected to be 0.5 to 3.5 meters in the East Sea, 0.5 to 3.0 meters in the West Sea, and 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the South Sea. In the offshore areas (about 200 kilometers from the coastline), wave heights are forecast to be 0.5 to 5.5 meters in the East Sea, 1.0 to 4.0 meters in the West Sea, and 0.5 to 3.5 meters in the South Sea.
