Sungju County Wins Grand Prize in 2025 Gyeongsangbuk-do Saemaeul Undong Comprehensive Evaluation
Sungju County achieved a remarkable feat by winning the Grand Prize in the "2025 Gyeongsangbuk-do Saemaeul Undong Comprehensive Evaluation," in recognition of its outstanding achievements.
This award was given after evaluating the results of Saemaeul Undong initiatives carried out over a year by 22 cities and counties in Gyeongsangbuk-do, and Sungju County had the honor of being selected as an excellent institution for the eighth consecutive year.
The Grand Prize was awarded as a result of high evaluations for Sungju County’s diverse and creative activities conducted throughout 2025.
In particular, practical volunteer activities such as: ▲ "Making Young Radish Kimchi for a Cool Summer" to practice neighborly love during the hot summer months; ▲ the "Hidden Resources Collection Contest" to promote resource recycling and environmental protection; ▲ "Bus Stop Cleaning" to create a pleasant public transportation environment for residents; and ▲ "Traditional Food Making with Multicultural Families" to foster community harmony and communication, all received excellent scores from the judges. These activities were recognized for their outstanding project planning, implementation results, and high level of resident participation.
