The Warmth of Sharing Melts the Cold... Dong-Eui Institute of Technology Faculty Volunteer Group Participates in "Kimchi Sharing of Love for 10,000 Households" Volunteer Activity
Dong-Eui Institute of Technology (President Kim Youngdo) participated in the "Kimchi Sharing of Love for 10,000 Households" volunteer activity as part of its year-end and New Year community contribution efforts.
On this day, the event took place at the Busanjin-gu Welfare Center for the Disabled, where participants seasoned approximately 2,700 heads of napa cabbage and packed the finished kimchi into boxes. The kimchi will be delivered to elderly and disabled individuals in the community who are particularly vulnerable during the winter season.
Kim Youngdo, President of Dong-Eui Institute of Technology, stated, "We organized this kimchi-making volunteer activity to share warmth and care with local seniors who are in desperate need of support," adding, "Our faculty and staff will continue to engage in various volunteer activities that promote mutual growth with the local community."

Founded in 2008, the DIT Faculty and Staff Volunteer Group at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology has been conducting a variety of social contribution activities, including supporting meal centers and distributing samgyetang and coal briquettes. These efforts are funded through monthly payroll deductions and donations from faculty and staff, and are aimed at supporting low-income groups and seniors who are in welfare blind spots.
