Linked CEO Min Yongjae Receives Presidential Commendation for Contributions to Software Industry Development
Linked announced on December 2 that CEO Min Yongjae received the Presidential Commendation for Outstanding Contributions to the Development of the Software Industry at the 26th Software Industry Day ceremony.
The ceremony, held on December 1 at El Tower in Yangjae, Seoul, was hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and organized by the National IT Industry Promotion Agency and the Korea Artificial Intelligence and Software Industry Association (KOSA). The event was designed to honor individuals who have contributed to the development of the software industry this year, to elevate the status of industry professionals, and to promote the activation of the software sector.
Over the past 27 years, CEO Min Yongjae has successfully led the expansion of Korean software-including games, artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, and virtual reality (VR)-into global markets such as North America, Japan, and Southeast Asia. He was also recognized for his efforts in nurturing industry talent by establishing an integrated curriculum while serving as an adjunct professor at the Graduate School of Convergence Science and Technology at Seoul National University.
In addition, he has contributed to the advancement of Korea's software industry by supporting startup development and the entrepreneurial ecosystem through roles such as executive at the Korea Artificial Intelligence and Software Industry Association, president of Entrepreneurs' Organization Korea, vice president of the Korea Venture Business Association, and advisory board member at the Seoul National University Venture Management Center.
Linked, together with its affiliate One Universe, is also contributing to the advancement of the AI software industry by recruiting top talent in the AI sector and making continuous investments. The company appointed Professor Shin Jinwoo of KAIST, a world-renowned expert in AI and machine learning, as an outside director, and is collaborating with his lab on various AI commercialization research projects. Recently, the two companies signed a physical AI partnership and are conducting research to apply virtual world-building technology to manufacturing processes, aiming to create efficient, data-driven operations.
