[Market Focus] Taihan Fiberoptics Up 13% on Expectations for Fiber Optic Expansion Amid Nvidia Traffic Surge
Taihan Fiberoptics shares are showing strong performance. The surge in data center traffic following the introduction of Nvidia's artificial intelligence (AI) graphics processing unit (GPU) 'Blackwell' is driving a rapid expansion in demand for fiber optic cables over copper, which appears to be a positive factor for the company.
As of 10:37 a.m. on December 2, 2025, Taihan Fiberoptics shares were trading at 2,640 won, up 13.30% from the previous day. The sharp increase in demand for fiber optic cables in the United States, driven by global AI infrastructure investment, has led to expectations of increased product supply and sales growth.

Previously, Taihan Fiberoptics announced that its U.S. sales in the third quarter had increased by 221% year-on-year. The company explained that the adoption of Nvidia's GPUs, such as Blackwell and H200, has caused a surge in data center computing scale and traffic, leading to a rapid expansion in demand for fiber optic cables with high bandwidth, low latency, and high reliability, replacing traditional copper-based networks. A representative from Taihan Fiberoptics stated, "We are benefiting from structural growth in core technology areas such as optical ground wire (OPGW), long-distance optical fiber, and ultra-high-speed optical transmission."
