[AWS re:Invent] The World's Largest Cloud Event Kicks Off... AWS re:Invent Opens on December 1
Over 50,000 Gather in Las Vegas
Discussions on "Agentic AI" and "Physical AI"
The world's largest cloud event, "AWS re:Invent 2025," hosted by Amazon Web Services (AWS), opens on December 1 (local time) in Las Vegas, United States.
Re:Invent is AWS's largest annual global event, where cloud experts from around the world gather in Las Vegas to share the latest technologies and trends in the cloud industry. This year marks its 14th edition. On the first day alone, more than 50,000 business leaders and developers from across the globe are expected to attend. Major Korean companies and startups will also participate in the event, aiming to showcase their artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities to a worldwide audience.
The core themes of this year’s re:Invent are expected to be "Agentic AI" and Physical AI. Agentic AI refers to AI that goes beyond simply responding to user requests, predicting user behavior, planning complex tasks, and even carrying out those tasks. There will also be discussions on Physical AI, which has emerged as a key topic in the AI industry. Related infrastructure such as chipsets like graphics processing units (GPUs) and data centers will also be major topics of discussion.
Keynote speeches from major AWS executives will also focus on AI. On December 1, the opening day, AWS CEO Matt Garman will unveil the roadmap and major new services in the field of generative AI. He will also introduce the latest technological advancements in AWS’s computing infrastructure for AI services. On December 2, Swami Sivasubramanian, Vice President for Agentic AI, will deliver a keynote on "The Future of Agentic AI," discussing how Agentic AI will transform the way we work and live. On the final day, December 4, Amazon CTO Werner Vogels will present "New Architectural Principles for Developers in the Age of AI," outlining design principles for AI systems.
Korean companies will also take part in re:Invent. Samsung Electronics, Twelve Labs, Megazone Cloud, and Woowa Brothers will showcase their technological prowess as AWS partners. AWS partners will share innovative case studies at this event. Among them, Twelve Labs, which develops its own Video Language Model (VLM), will present results achieved using AWS Bedrock. Twelve Labs supplies its models to "Amazon Bedrock," AWS’s AI platform.
