"Youth Walking the Boundaries"... Global China Research Institute at Pukyong National University Hosts Joint International Academic Conference
Korean Association for Chinese Studies and Dong-A University Confucius Academy Participate
The Global China Research Institute at Pukyong National University, led by Director Lee Bogo, held a joint international academic conference under the theme "Youth Walking the Boundaries."
The institute announced on the 27th that, together with the Korean Association for Chinese Studies (President Park Minsu) and the Confucius Academy at Dong-A University (Director Kim Jonghyun), it co-hosted the international academic conference at the Humanities, Social Sciences, and Business Building of Pukyong National University on the 22nd.
The conference, titled "Youth Walking the Boundaries: Fluid East Asia and the Languages of the Humanities," featured a total of 56 presentations across 13 sessions.
During the first part of the event, keynote speeches were delivered by Professor Lee Ukyeon of Sogang University and Professor Park Yongjin of Jeonbuk National University. In the second part, presentations were given by Lee Bogo, Director of the Global China Research Institute, among others. Following each presentation, 39 experts, including Park Eunhye, HK Research Professor at the Global China Research Institute, engaged in discussions.
The conference saw a significant number of presentations by 16 emerging young researchers from the East Asian region, and it was evaluated as having captured the characteristics of the youth generation-a major turning point for reconciliation and prosperity in East Asia-through the language of the humanities.
