'Korea Fintech Week' is the largest fintech industry expo in South Korea, hosted and organized by the Financial Services Commission and the Korea Fintech Support Center. This year, the event is being held under the theme, 'Fintech X AI: Adding Personal Taste to Finance.' As a leading bank in AI technology adoption, KakaoBank has set up an experiential booth to introduce innovative services that support users in various everyday scenarios.
At the KakaoBank booth, visitors can experience services such as 'AI Transfer,' 'AI Search,' and 'Mobile ID.' 'AI Transfer,' which was launched on November 24, is a new AI service that allows customers to request transfers using natural, conversational language, with the AI handling the transaction on their behalf. The booth demonstrates how transfers can be made simply by entering a recipient's name or nickname.
'AI Search,' introduced in May as the first conversational search service in the Korean financial sector, allows customers to ask questions about KakaoBank products or basic financial knowledge, and receive answers in a conversational manner from the AI. Visitors can try searching for information on services and products such as 'Identity Theft Prevention Service' or 'Our Child Account' to see what responses are provided.
'Mobile ID,' launched by KakaoBank in July, is a digital identification card with the same legal validity as a physical ID, allowing users to replace physical ID submissions in various everyday situations using only the KakaoBank app. At the booth, visitors can see where the Mobile ID can be used, including airports, hospitals, banks, government offices, and convenience stores.
After completing the experience, visitors will receive a commemorative gift. All visitors who try out the three services-'AI Transfer,' 'AI Search,' and 'Mobile ID'-will receive a '2026 Kakao Friends Calendar' to celebrate the year-end and New Year season.
Previously, KakaoBank also participated in 'Seoul Fintech Week 2025' held in September. During the keynote speech, KakaoBank CEO Yoon Ho-young introduced the company's vision for financial innovation as an 'AI Native Bank,' focusing on 'How AI Will Transform Everyday Life and the Future of Finance.'
KakaoBank stated, "We planned this expo booth to showcase the synergy created by combining AI technology with the financial industry through our diverse AI services," adding, "We will continue to deliver differentiated financial experiences through ongoing AI technology innovation."
