Lee Eungyeol, Hwang Soyoon, and Others Join Korea Tourism Organization's "My Hometown" Exhibition
At Hiker Ground Until February 28 Next Year
Illusionist Lee Eungyeol, Hwang Soyoon of the band Se So Neon, and actor-painter Park Kiwoong are among the participants in an exhibition organized by the Korea Tourism Organization.
The Korea Tourism Organization announced that it will hold the exhibition "My Hometown - My Topophilia" at Hiker Ground in Jung-gu, Seoul, from November 25, 2025, to February 28, 2026.
The exhibition title, "Topophilia," refers to the love for a place, expressing the longing and affection felt when recalling a specific space. Six creators will present an immersive exhibition exploring the origins of their creativity by producing short films themed around their own "hometowns." The participating creators are Lee Eungyeol (Pyeongtaek), Hwang Soyoon (Jecheon), Park Kiwoong (Andong), architect Cho Byungsoo (Seoul), Park Mina, CEO of the brand Sobaek (Yeongju), and furniture designer and director of Habagudeun Moon Seungji (Jeju).
The core of this exhibition is "immersion through sitting." Designer Moon Seungji's chairs, which visually expand the message "Sitting is the beginning of contemplation," are placed throughout the exhibition space. Visitors can sit on these chairs, pause for a moment, and take in the exhibition at their own pace, experiencing a moment of deep immersion.
Yoon Sungwook, head of the Tourism Promotion Hall Operations Team at the Korea Tourism Organization, said, "To create Hiker Ground as an urban oasis and a complex cultural space, we opened and renovated the outdoor terrace as 'Pause Ground' last September, and have been running various community programs such as book clubs and gardening classes. This exhibition also aims to showcase a new direction for Hiker Ground, where space, art, and daily life are organically connected. We hope that both domestic and international visitors will enjoy it."
