"Exceeded Expectations" at KOCCA Screening Event
The drama "Labor Attorney Noh Mujin" and the animation "Dr. Bipang," both produced with support from the Korea Creative Content Agency, received positive reviews from New York audiences.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency’s New York Business Center held the K-Content screening event "Koca Spotlight" at the New York Korea Center on the 6th and 20th of this month, showcasing these two works. In a survey conducted after the screenings, audiences praised both productions, giving particularly high marks for their fresh concepts and emotional storytelling.
"Labor Attorney Noh Mujin," produced by Broccoli Pictures, is a mystery healing comedy that centers on a unique profession-helping resolve the stories of the deceased. MBC America is responsible for its distribution in North America.
"Dr. Bipang," produced by Namex Entertainment, tells the story of a K-pop trainee who sells fish-shaped pastries for a living and grows together with Bipang, a living pastry. It is currently being broadcast in Korea through Netflix.
"Koca Spotlight" is an event that selects works with strong potential for entry into the North American market from among the content completed through the Korea Creative Content Agency’s broadcasting, video, and animation production support programs, and presents them to local audiences at the Korean Cultural Center New York.
