"ChatGPT Finds the Products You Want"... Introduces 'Shopping Research' Feature
Free to Use Until the End of the Year
OpenAI announced on the 25th that it has newly introduced a 'shopping research' feature in ChatGPT. Shopping research is a new function in ChatGPT that conducts product research on behalf of users to help them easily find the items they want.
When users describe the product they are looking for using shopping research, ChatGPT finds the product through natural conversation. If users need to narrow down their choices, ChatGPT asks additional questions to clarify the requirements and then searches the internet to provide customized recommendations within minutes.

OpenAI emphasized that product information is sourced from reliable sources and that these sources are clearly indicated.
OpenAI explained that the shopping research feature will be especially useful for categories with large amounts of information, such as electronics, beauty, home & garden, kitchen & appliances, and sports & outdoor.
This feature will be gradually rolled out to all users, including both the free version and the paid Plus and Pro versions, and will be available with virtually no usage limits until the end of the year. In addition, it will be combined with 'ChatGPT Pulse,' a hyper-personalization feature that proactively suggests information users may need. Through this integration, shopping research is expected to provide personalized and proactive product recommendations based on previous conversations.
